Au Cirque on Brunswick Street is a busy two-storey hang out which is always a hit amongst our friends and produces serious gourmet foods.

Brioche French toast with grilled white peach, hazelnut praline, cinnamon cream, blueberries and peach jelly. Without a doubt, not adding bacon would have been a crime.

This. Was. So. Good. Aside from being a lover of avo on toast, I'm also partial tp French toast now and then. There's serious FOMO when deciding between a sweet or savoury breakfast but who could go past this?

Grilled peppered mackerel served on potato salad, with softened leek vinaigrette and a poached egg. Add bacon. Fish for breakfast?? Who'd a thunk? This guest Brunch Plightee (visiting parent) added bacon for an unintentional surf 'n turf breakfast. The potato salad was wild and was great with bacon. The only qulm with this visit was that bacon as a side is $4 and you only get a few pieces.
